From a new practitioner perspective, what are your thoughts on this? My sister and I are aiming to complete the training especially being out in more rural practice settings where such providers would be valuable to the communities. It's also something that can differentiate you from other pharmacists and make you marketable.

I think it can be a great opportunity for patient safety. Especially when initiating opioid therapy with patients, or changes of doses. The family needs to get education on the subject as well since they will most likely be the one administering the dose. I also practice in a rural area and the pharmacy is more accessible than the other providers in town. We could save some lives! ...except in Missouri not available yet :(
